Feature requests / Czech Language Support for Aqua Mail on iOS

« Last post by Stanislav on August 03, 2026, 12:08:52 pm »

Hello,

I am a long-time Aqua Mail user and recently started using the iOS version of the app.
I noticed that the iOS version is currently not available in Czech, while the Android version supports the Czech language.
Could you please let me know whether you are planning to add Czech localization to the iOS version in the foreseeable future?
I believe many Czech users would appreciate having the application available in their native language.

Thank you for your time and for your work on Aqua Mail.

Best regards,
Stanislav

How do I... / Re: Exchange Categories not Syncing

« Last post by Martin - Aqua Mail Support on July 28, 2026, 04:24:59 pm »

Hello casper181,

This is expected behavior in many Exchange/Outlook setups.

Outlook contact “Categories” do not exist in the same way in Android Contacts. When Aqua Mail syncs Exchange contacts to the Android contacts database, those categories may be converted by Android/Samsung into contact “Groups”.

If you do not want this, you can either hide those groups in Samsung Contacts, or disable contact sync for that Exchange account in Aqua Mail.

In Aqua Mail, open the account settings for the Exchange account and turn off contact synchronization. Then refresh or resync contacts.

If you still want the contacts synced but without groups/categories, there may not be a reliable way to keep only the contacts while stripping Outlook categories, because Samsung Contacts controls how those synced fields are displayed.

Did you ever figure this out?  I am seeing the same behavior.  Is this documented anywhere?

Feature requests / Re: Rich text editor

Hello Jaani,

Thank you for your feedback.

You are correct that there is currently no strikethrough option in the editor.

Your comments about the duplicated text color and fill options, combining them in a more modern way, and the issue with resetting colors not restoring the default icon colors have been transferred to the team for review.

We appreciate you taking the time to point this out, as it helps us improve the editor experience.

General Discussion / Re: Incoming server login error

« Last post by Mick5150 on July 21, 2026, 05:54:36 am »

I believe the problem is the inbuilt settings you have in Aquamail. With the recent change with the updates app, Aquamail has moved to the Microsoft Graph API which is newer and will be supported by Microsoft long into the future (hopefully!) Microsoft will eventually retire Exchange (EWS) API.

I would recommend that if you choose to keep the current app version installed, to remove your current account and re-add it. You could also do a backup of the app settings only, then clear App data and cache, and restore the backup. Add your account again after that as Office 365. It will likely now pickup that it's Graph API. I had this error happen to me after I authenticated after the app updated to the newest version.

Note that currently Aquamail has bugs with Graph API that they are working on. Personally, while I can send and receive emails, any movement of emails (archiving, deleting, moving, etc...) only result in the server marking them as read. On my phone they appear to move but on the actual server they stay in the inbox. There are others that have remarked that there are issues currently with calendar events and syncing as well.

In the meantime what I've done is uninstall the app and I downloaded the prior version from APKmirror. In play store turning off automatic updates. This allows me to keep using the EWS version of the API while I wait for news of them fixing the Graph API bugs.

Hope this all helps!

Feature requests / Re: Group similar domain email inboxes together

« Last post by kalsc101 on July 18, 2026, 12:16:24 am »

Hi there, just following up on this as this is a solid feature.  Being able to group same domain inboxes to a designated folder would be sooooo useful.  I manage several domains and each has many inboxes, working with the current list of inboxes gets unruly.

Feature requests / Re: Feature request: adding a "Relocate to folder" action.

« Last post by AMnesia on July 15, 2026, 11:53:12 pm »

As far as I know, Aqua Mail already supports server‑side moving of multiple selected messages.

When you long‑press a message in a folder (for example, the Inbox) and then select one or more messages, Aqua Mail shows a multi‑selection action menu with several options, such as: Delete, Mark as read, Mark as unread, Star, Move to Spam, Move to Deleted, Copy to folder, and others.

Depending on your device and screen layout, the “Move to” option may appear directly in the action bar or inside the three‑dots overflow menu within the multi‑selection interface.

The “Move to” command allows you to move the selected messages directly into another folder.

If your mail server supports IMAP‑MOVE, Aqua Mail uses a true server‑side MOVE operation for this “Move to” action. In that case, you can:

• select any number of messages
• including non‑consecutive messages
• move them directly into another folder
• without copying
• without re‑selecting
• without using “Perma delete”

This is a real server‑side move operation, not just a copy‑and‑delete workaround.

Ah ha!! Thank you! On my Android-based version of AquaMail Pro, after selecting multiple messages, I see now that I need to select the "folder" icon in the menu bar. Then, I am indeed given a "Move to" page which lists all my folders, and the messages do indeed get moved to the folder that I select.

Up until now, I was only looking in the three-dot menu, where I only see "Copy to folder" as one of the entries with no "Move to" entry. I didn't think to click on that "folder" icon next to the three-dot menu.

Thank you again for this solution to my issue!

Feature requests / Rich text editor

It seems there is no stroke through option in the editor.

There are 2 icons for text color option and 2 icons for fill in option. In modern editors those are combined and the chosen colors are specified by the line colors under the icons.
It seems resetting color doesn't work correctly and doesn't reverts icons colors to default.

Quick update.

Company IT Department "reset my MFA", which didn't solve the issue.  Next, changed password, didn't solve the issue.

I can add other (email) accounts just fine, but not my work; same error every time.  I've had this work email on AM for several years.
