How do I... / Where to select / assign SSL Client Certifcates?
« Last post by pgn on June 23, 2026, 08:59:54 pm »
i'm running AMPro on Android 16.

an IMAP server for which I've had a working AM app account for now requires a Client SSL Cert be presented.

Where in AM is the selection dialog?

Not talking about End-to-end encryption.  I want to assign the Presented Client Cert for a specific account -- both inbound IMAP and outbound SMTP.

Hello Jimrob,

I'm happy to hear the good news! ;)

Perfect - thank you. It was a mappings issue, plus a historical "Deleted" type folder that itself needed deleting. I've now got the Aquamail "Trash" folder syncing with the Yahoo "Deleted items" folder and it seems to be working properly now.

Hello Jim,

Sounds like a Trash/Deleted folder mapping issue with the Yahoo account.

Please check this in Aqua Mail:

Aqua Mail > Menu > Settings > Manage accounts > Yahoo account > Folders

Look for Deleted/Trash folder mapping and set (sync) it to the Yahoo folder that matches Yahoo Webmail’s “Deleted items” folder.

Test with one email:

Delete it in Aqua Mail, then check if it moves to Yahoo Webmail > Deleted items.

If the correct Yahoo folder is not shown, remove and add the Yahoo account again using the automatic Yahoo setup/OAuth login. This usually refreshes Yahoo’s special folder mapping.

As a workaround, “Perma delete” works because it deletes directly on the server, but normal delete needs the correct Trash folder mapping to match Yahoo’s web folder.

Chromebook v 148.0.7778.250

Aquamail v 1.59.0.627

Works fine for a few days and then loses contact - whilst both work fine on the area outside the app when in reduced size mode.

Clues/solutions please.

Hi folks. I have got my AquaMail (build 1.59.0-627) set up with various email accounts, including a Yahoo Mail account. I am finding that when I use AquaMail to delete an email from the Yahoo Mail account (select an email, tap on the bin icon that appears when >=1 email is selected), it shows in AquaMail as deleted (placed in the AquaMail "Deleted" folder), *but* in the Yahoo Mail webUI nothing happens to it (other than being marked as "Read"). If I then delete the email from the AquaMail "Deleted" folder, it disappears from the Yahoo Mail webUI. Similarly, if I delete an email using the AquaMail "Perma delete" option, it is deleted from the Yahoo Mail webUI.

My AquaMail installation is *old*, so I don't know if any defaults that are currently applied to new Yahoo Mail mailboxes are not present on my AquaMail Yahoo Mail account.
- In "AquaMail > [Yahoo Mail account] > hamburger icon" I can see a "Deleted" folder.
- From "hamburger icon > Other folders" I can see a "Deleted" folder and a "Deleted Messages" folder.
- From "hamburger icon > Manage folders..." I can see a "Deleted Messages" folder.

In the Yahoo Mail webUI, there is a "Deleted items" (bin icon) folder that contains items and does not appear to have a corresponding equivalent in AquaMail (Aqua Mail "Deleted" and "Deleted Messages" folders are empty; Yahoo Mail "Deleted Messages" folder is empty and appears to be a regular folder - no bin-type icon).

Since there is inconsistency between the "Deleted" type folders in AquaMail and the Yahoo Mail webUI, I am wondering whether the root cause of the problem with emails not being deleted/the Yahoo Mail "Deleted items" folder not being visible in AquaMail might be a mapping issue.

Suggestions as to how to resolve the core issue with items deleted in AquaMail not being deleted in Yahoo Mail would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

Jim

General Discussion / Re: Search Filters
« Last post by Martin - Aqua Mail Support on June 04, 2026, 10:41:30 am »
Hello Crescentman,

Thank you for the feedback.

We have not made any recent changes to search filters in Aqua Mail, but improvements to search are on our radar for future updates.

Advanced search operators like unread status, sender, subject, or custom text patterns would definitely be useful, and we appreciate you sharing the Gmail-style example.

I don't know about other users, but it seems to me that Aqua-Mail is increasingly turning into a hobby project.  ;)
