These days, Aqua Mail seems like even less than a hobby project. The original developer, working alone, was much more responsive. It's a shame, really.
Aqua Mail is not a hobby project, but the app is now maintained in a different environment, with more platforms, more providers, OAuth/security changes, Android/iOS restrictions, and a much larger range of devices to support. That can make some fixes slower, especially when they depend on provider changes or OS behavior.
