Mapping [Deleted] folder on EWS
« on: May 21, 2015, 08:15:43 am »
Hi,

Application ignores "Deleted Items" folder on server and create local [Deleted] folder which is not visible on server. How can I define server folder as [Deleted]? Same question for [Sent].

Regards,
Ivan

Yes, you are right, those options I have for other accounts that are IMAP by type. For this one there are only "Sync" and "Don't sync", there are no mapping options.

Exchange's special folders are predefined by the server -- the server "knows" what the Deleted / Sent / Drafts folders are, and Aqua uses those folders specifically.

Are you sure it's set to not sync at all?

You should be seeing something like I have in the attached screenshot -- and further, if you tap the server side "Deleted Items", then nothing will happen at all (no popup window) -- since the folder is "known" to be this "special server side folder".

No, doesn't look like that (I would make you screenshot but don't know how). I would also blame IT for wrong setup of Exchange but I bought Nine before you added calendar sync and it works flawlessly (if ignoring battery consumption). Thank you for response anyway.

Well, if you're interested -- I could investigate if you captured the issue in the app's debug log, with "raw session data" enabled.

I have instructions linked below.

Just enable logging (with "raw session data"), and bring up this "options and folders -> folders" screen, and then wait for it to refresh.

Then send me the log file.

Problem is fixed with version 1.5.7.5 and re-creating account.
