Error checking new emails if...

I found a bug - for example: if my mobile is connected via wi-fi then Aqua Mail works fine. But if the wifi connection get lost then Aqua Mail returns an error - that's still OK. But if I turn off wifi and start using EDGE again -> Aqua Mail never connects to the IMAP server(s) anymore. I have to kill Aqua Mail process and start it again.
It's very disturbing when I found out Aqua Mail doesn't checks new mails for several hours :/

I have the same problem....on wifi, Aquamail works fine. However once I go onto 3G mobile data, Aquamail goes "Error syncronising mail, error connecting" (in red).

I believe it is an App issue as my FB, Whatsapp and other data apps works fine and normal.

Please help.

Once I leave the house, I go without emails for hours....

This is not an app issue, it's an issue with your mail server not being accessible over the mobile network.

I'm guessing this is your ISP's mail server? Maybe they only make it accessible over their own network?

Please post exact server settings (sans the login / password, of course) if you would like me to look into it.

I am running into a similar issue.  Up until recently I have been able to sync via 4G or WiFi.  But for the last few days it will only sync via WiFi.  Today, for example, it worked fine when I was home and connected to WiFi.  I left my house and went to work and it wouldn't sync all day and the timestamp of the last sync was when I left my house.  When I cam home and got back on WiFi, all my emails came in.  Then I left the house again and it wouldn't sync and once again showed the last timestamp as when I left the house.  I have been using the app for quite some time without issue.  I am connecting to a Verizon account and the only change I had to make recently was another setting I saw here where I could not send email and the fix listed took care of the problem.  I've done some searching to see if I can find something related to Verizon but haven't found anything.

It figures.  After I posted this yesterday, it started working fine today - and I didn't change anything.  Go figure.

There is no magic.

It just means that your mobile operator was having some connectivity problems.
