Notification on watch
« on: November 30, 2025, 05:53:24 pm »
I spent far too much time yesterday trying to get my Android phone make my Samsung Watch alert me to new incoming Aquamail messages.

In the end I found that using Settings on my phone. Then Aquamail. Then Notifications . Then Message Nofications.

There is a Pop up Screen On/Off.

Only when it is On does the watch get notified.

I'm not aware that anyone on this forum has come across this problem but I use Perplexity AI and conclude that these AI systems trawl forums like this - so maybe someone sometime will be helped.

Hello tonygamble,

Aqua Mail itself doesn’t control how Samsung Watches handle notifications, so the watch will only alert you when Android sends a full, active notification. That “Pop-up screen” option essentially forces Android to treat the notification as high-priority, which is why the watch then receives it.

We appreciate you taking the time to describe the steps. Even if this issue hasn’t come up often, your explanation may definitely help other users who run into the same situation on Samsung devices.

Enjoy using Aqua Mail.

To get Aquamail to notify you of emails on a Samsung watch, you need to download Galaxy Wearable and then enable Aquamail notifications in the notifications section of the application.
