I am using AquaMail Premium version 1.54.0-535 on two different Android devices which are both running Android 14.
Both have been set up to access the exact same email accounts in exactly the same manner.
On one Android device, I changed the names of those email accounts and I changed their IMAP/SMTP attributes, and I want to exactly duplicate this new AquaMail configuration to the other Android device.
First, I tried the following:
* Take a full backup (accounts, emails, app settings) on the first Android device.
* Copy the AquaMail.accounts.backup file to the other Android device.
* Restore that AquaMail.accounts.backup file on the other Android device.
However, this did not work. I got a message saying that there were no corresponding accounts to restore. I assume that this is probably due to the fact that I changed the account names.
In order to get this to work, I had to use SwiftBackup on the device with the changed account information to back up AquaMail and all its associated data. Then, I used SwiftBackup on the second device to restore this SwiftBackup-generated AquaMail backup. This indeed succeeded at exactly duplicating the first device's AquaMail configuration to AquaMail on the second device.
However ...
I'm wondering if there is a way to duplicate an AquaMail configuration from one device to another without using any third-party software like SwiftBackup, and instead, to perform this duplication solely using AquaMail facilities.
Thank you in advance for any ideas and suggestions.
