Local draft folder incorrectly showing no. of messages

Good afternoon, for several days now my local draft folder has been showing I have four messages in it, when in fact empty. I have checked that there are no hidden messages - there aren't.

I would be grateful for any suggestions as to how to correct message count for this folder, please.

Have you looked on the server to see if there is anything in the drafts folder?

Thank you for your reply, Paris Geek. I have followed your instructions to check, but as I thought I'm not synchronising the draft folder at all - the only emails in there should be if I've started an email within Aquamail and then save it.

Hmm.... It does look like a bug.

Do you know how to reproduce it?

E.g. is sending a message (without saving as a draft first) enough?

Saving first then sending (without closing the compose screen in between)?

What is the account type (IMAP or POP3)?

If it's IMAP - is the Sent folder set to sync with the server (I understand that the Drafts is not)?

Thanks for you reply, Kostya. Neither of those suggestions reproduce it and it hasn't changed for several days now. I sync the Gmail account via POP3.

OK POP3 so neither Drafts nor Sent gets synced

Good to know, kind of narrows down where it could be in our code.

Although it is really hard to try and fix without a scenario to reproduce.

Can you please try this:

- Long press on the account
- Options and folders
- Folders

I understand it's POP3 so that screen will only list the Inbox - but please do this anyway.

There is code on this screen to recalculate / update per-folder message counts (including Drafts, Sent, Deleted) and maybe the Draft folder's will reset to the right value (0).

( as for fixing the underlying cause - like I said really hard to do without a way to reproduce, but we'll file a bug so we can track it )

Hello again, in looking at this, I temp synced the draft folder (though I knew there were drafts in my Gmail) and then unsynced it. When I took off the sync, 4 emails appeared in the draft folder and I was then able to delete them!

Um so you are using IMAP then?

Given that you were able to set the folder to sync?
