How do I sync my Exchange calendar?

Just getting started with AquaMail, and I have it connected to my Exchange server. Mail is fine, but it's not syncing Calendar my to my Samsung Galaxy S8+

I have all the sync options turned on, but when I go in to "manage calendars" I don't even see an option for my exchange account anywhere. Am I missing something obvious here? I haven't tried contacts yet (that's not as critical as my calendar, which is absolutely critical for my family. Please, any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Please long press on the account (on the app's main screen) -> options and folders.

You should see a screen with "Account options" and below that "Exchange options".

If you don't see "Exchange options" then your account is not set up in Aqua as Exchange (perhaps IMAP or POP3).

If you do please tap into this "Exchange options" and enable Calendar (and/or Contact) sync.

Both were checked, however it appears there was a permissions issue as well. I set that and it started working, but delayed. It can take up to an hour for an appointment that I set in Outlook to show up on my phone, and about 15-20 minutes the other way.

We trigger Contacts / Calendar sync (server to phone) whenever the app checks mail (which by default is once every 15 minutes, but can be set differently, or delayed by recent Android versions). There is no push for Contacts or Calendar.

OK, now that makes sense. I've left it at the default of 15 minutes, but that still doesn't explain the hourlong delays. I have the one Exchange account, and two IMAP accounts. Well, I guess so long as it syncs eventually that's all that matters. Calendar and Contacts can wait, but email has to be instantaneous.

Speaking of push, for my two GMAIL accounts I use the native GMAIL app in my phone, which pushes their messages in real time. If I set up my Gmail accounts in AM, can I use the push feature that way, or will that only work with the native app?

One last (unrelated) question: Where is the setting to have AM open onto the main home screen every time, regardless where it was when I closed it? Whenever I open AM I'd like to see all 3 of my accounts with their unread totals.

Yes there is push for mail. You can enable it by long pressing on the account -> options and folders -> account options -> push mail.

Both IMAP (Gmail) and Exchange account types are supported (but not POP3).

It should as long as you close the app with Back.

By Android convention, using Home is like "minimize" in Windows and will restore to saved state when re-started.
