New editor does not work with texpand plus

Hello,

to my huge disappointment the Texpand Plus text abbreviation / text template app was not working anymore within aquamail after the last update 

Only after I unchecked the "new text editor" in the aquamail settings,  the text templates became available again and also the background Color of the text editor turned back to BLACK from a bright white even tho the dark theme is active.

There is certainly an incompatibility between the new aquamail  text editor and the Texpand app since texpand worked in all other apps even after the update!

Would be great if this issue could be solved...?!

I can't address the Texpand issue, but if you search the forum you'll see that for technical reasons there can not be a black background on the edit/compose screen when using the new editor. The thread in question is one of the 1.14 development threads.

I would guess that Texpand is only able to integrate with Andorid "EditText" controls.

Aqua's new editor uses a WebView, hence the compat issue.

I would guess that Texpand won't work in the Gmail app

Many thanks for this tip. Texpand Pro is much more important to me than expanded text formatting. Please, please, never remove this option.

Aquamail & Texpand Pro are my favorite phone apps but only if they work together.
