Nothing in Sent Folder, but Showing '1'
« on: November 21, 2017, 02:44:09 am »
I've been using AM for a couple of months now and it's everything I want/need in an Android mail client.

Typically I clear out my 'sent' folder at the end of the day and today I came across this little issue. Not truly sure if it's a bug, but it seemed like the right sub-forum in which to post.

When expanding the account 'phred' it shows that there is 1 message in the sent folder. Yet when opening the sent folder it is empty. I have done the following in an attempt to clear it out and nothing has changed the 1 to a 0:
- Restarted the device (Samsung S8 running Android 7.0)
- Restore hidden, select all, remove (hide.)
- Logged on to Comcast, checked the sent folder and it was empty (for the record, I rarely check mail via Comcast. I use a stand-alone mail client.)
- The account in question is set up as IMAP.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?

Thanks.

Any errors if you pull to refresh in the Sent folder?

I've got two ideas:

1 - Remove the account from the app and add back

and/or

2 - Capture the issue in the app's debug log with "session data" and "database data" enabled (please see the link below).

With the log enabled, please refresh the Sent folder in this account, let it complete, and send the log to support / at / aqua-mail / dot com.

1 - Remove the account from the app and add back
This got it resolved. And having a backup/restore option in AM made it easy.

Thanks Kostya.
