Move deleted mail

Hello, if I delete an email in Aqua Mail. Nothing happens on the Server with this email. How can it be moved to the deleted folder on the server?

Long press on the account name > Options and folders > Account options > Deleting messages > [select either] Move to deleted folder first [or] Delete from the server immediately

One more thing to check: that the app's "deleted" folder is properly "mapped" to the right server folder.

Please long press on the account -> options and folders -> folders.

Let the folder list refresh from the server (5-15 seconds).

Find the right Deleted folder (may be called Deleted Items, Deleted Messages, Trash, Bin, ...)

Tap its name.

Choose "Sync as Deleted".

The above procedure "tells" Aqua Mail what server folder to use for its Deleted folder.

If there isn't any, the app's Deleted folder will be purely "local", won't sync with anything. Sounds like you case.

Oh and if your account is set up in Aqua Mail as POP3 - this won't work because POP3 does not provide access to folders other than Inbox. I'd recommend removing the account from the app and adding back as IMAP.

I am using POP3 to retrieve messages from the server and do not want to switch to IMAP. I want to set up the program so that when I delete a message from the inbox folder, it should move to the Deleted folder on the device, and when I delete the message from the Deleted folder on the device, it will be deleted from the program and during the next sync with the server, will be deleted from the server.

With current settings the program does not delete the messages from the server when I delete them from the Deleted folder. How do I set up the program to do that?

It should. What exactly do you do to delete from Deleted?

Please try Menu -> Delete All when in the deleted folder.
