Odd bubbles in Oreo

Hi, I am a new user and was testing the free version before purchasing the paid version. I get pop-up bubbles that just look out of place. Not sure if these are not all or if they messed up due to Oreo. I am on a Pixel 2 XL.

One bubble pops up when I refresh a mailbox and the other is when I send an email. I have attached screen grabs.

You can turn these off in app settings -> look and feel -> toast messages.

I found this thread after a quick search of the forum. First, great app, Aqua Mail is really well executed.

Regarding the thread, I see the same thing with toast messages on my Pixel 2 (non XL) running Oreo 8.1. I believe with the light theme the font in the toast messages is OK, but in the dark theme the font becomes the same color as the toast message background and cannot be read. I have turned off toast messages for now, but I was wondering if there is a setting to set the font color of the toast message that I am missing?

I've been having this problem since getting the Pixel 2 last month as well.  I can usually make out what's in the toast, such as a network error with the server, but it would be nice to see the actual text.  I don't opt to see sync and push notifications but toast is selected as I do want to see network errors.   

I'm using the Light color theme though attempted the others and still blank toast with white background and dark background.

Turning off app settings -> look and feel -> toast notifications --->>> will not suppress error toasts.

As for the original issue, readability, what should we / can we do?

We could use our own background (and make it dark), but it would not match the system toast's background.

Or we could use system toasts (losing the Aqua Mail icon).

There does not appear to be a way for getting the system toast's text color.

Ideas?

Though I cannot see any of the text in the toast pop-ups at all, network error, send, etc.  The toast is white no matter what option for color or background.
