Non-spam mail in spam folder
« on: May 16, 2017, 12:01:44 am »
Hi,

I have found that quite a few messages which aren't spam are being sent to the spam folder. Is there any way I can change it so that mailings from certain senders aren't sent to spam but to my inbox instead.

I have tried adding them to my contacts list but the mail is still sent to spam.

Thank you

Aqua does not do its own spam filtering.

It syncs each folder independently of others, whatever's there on the mail server (in web mail) you'll get in the app.

"False positive" spam processing can happen, e.g. Gmail often errors on this side.

Please consider creating filters (message rules) in your mail provider's web mail (web site), hopefully they have an "action" to "never send to spam". Should be in their web mail (web site) under Settings somewhere. Look for "message filters", "message rules" or similar.

Aqua Mail does not have SPAM rules and as such is not responsible for where your SPAM goes.  You need to log-on to the email server online and train the SPAM filters there.  Aqua Mail just downloads whatever is already in the folders.
