Aquamail Icon in status bar

Hello,
I'm using Aquamail since a couple of years and so far I have solved every problem by my self. But now I have two Problems, where I need help:
1. In the Edge panel from my phone there is no or better a extremly slow bubble notification about the unreaded mails. It takes 15-20min to refresh the numbers  . The same problem is with the Whatsapp-App, so may it is a problem from the phone?!?
2. In the status bar is permanently a Icon with a curved arrow displayed. Is there a possibility to removed it?

1 - Aqua Mail does not do anything specifically to talk to Samsung's "Edge" feature. I suggest you take this up with Samsung support.

2 - App settings -> look and feel -> notification during sync and push -> turn off.

But I can't find this settings. Attached are some screenshoots, unfortunately in German, but there are no point which sound like "Look and Feel" or contain a point like "notification during sync and push"...or better, I can't find it 

For point 1. I agree, there was only the hope, that somebody has solve this problem ;-)

I suspect "Benutzeroberfläche" in your #1 corresponds to "Look and Feel".
If I am wrong, @mikeone will help you finding it when he gets to this forum.

To be sure, I switched to English as App language. Unfortunately I have had the idea just now

On my S7 edge (Android 7), unread counter is immediately updated on AquaMail icon in the side panel.

Hmmmm....it seems, that it is a problem from the phone or the Android Version. There was an system-update some days ago and since this moment I have this problem.
I can't say, what exactly the system update was changing but there mustbe something...

Yes,"Look and feel" is translated to German as "Benutzeroberfläche" (in the meaning of "User interface")
