Change recipient cc/ to/ bcc when replying

I'm not sure if there is a good workaround or I missed out to know that the feature is available.
The sender sent an email to me and cc'ed some people. I want to reply to all but also want to change some of the people in the cc list to 'to' list. Currently the default setting when reply to all is the sender is under 'to' and the rest are 'cc'. Would it be possible to change those people in the cc list or move them easily to 'to' list? Likewise how do I do it the other way around eg. change from 'to' to 'cc' list?

Long touch on the chip that represents the recipient's address, and then move it to the desired field.
If the desired field (e.g. Bcc:) is not visible, click on the icon with two persons' profile first, to make the hidden field (Bcc, Cc) visible.

You may need to enable presentation of the addresses as "chips" for this to work (Settings -> Contacts -> Contact chips" - check mark.)

Thanks, I didn't realise we can do that. I tried but a bit tricky to drag the 'chip'. It is not easy especially if you have a lot of chips to drag.

Another thing, dragging the chip is possible only if the email address is my contact hence it become a chip. Otherwise if from new email and not in my contact I cannot drag it.

Yes the "chip" UI is not perfect, but I feel it's still better than using "just text" for address input. Oh and the library that does this is from Gmail app

Here is a tip:

To save the currently entered addresses into the Contacts app, you can long press on the "head" icon to the left of each recipient entry field (a short tap brings up the app's own contact picker).

And then once the address is saved, it's much easier to re-enter it since you'll have help from autocompletion.

I've just used Gmail's webinterface to send a message.
Interestingly enough, - that "chip" interface is present even there (tested on Win-10, latest Firefox).

Yes it has been there for a long time, and many other web mail systems use same type of presentation as well.

One of dem Design things.
