Is it possible to delete messages from the deleted message folder on the basis of date? For example can you only delete messages out of the deleted message folder than a specific date?
While not automated I perform this task on occasion and have found the following approach fast and easy:
- enable first and third options in the attached screen snip
- verify deleted folder is sorted by date
- tap date (day) header to select all items in the group
- repeat for other dates of interest
- when selection(s) complete choose 'delete permanently' from the three dot menu
I have other client settings that further streamline this process but (hopefully) you get the gist. I can trash several weeks of older mail in less than a minute.
