Sent Mail Failure
« on: April 24, 2016, 05:50:32 pm »
I'm using AquaMail Pro 1.6.1.5 IMAP+SMTP+POP3+EWS for Android
Since 08 March whenever I SEND an e-mail from my phone it is not being added to the [Sent] folder. I've look for a solution to this problem but can not find one.
Thank you

Go to "Other folders", and find which folder is set to synchronize with [Sent].

Also, long-press on the account (in the account list), under "Options and Folders" -> "Composing and sending" -> "Check sent messages" - make sure it is checked (AFAIR, that's the default setting, unless you are using Gmail servers).

Gmail is supposed to automatically save any sent messages, independently of any mail app doing the sending. Has been for years.

Because of this, AquaMail defaults to not *uploading* sent messages for Gmail accounts, rather it *downloads* them after the sending is complete.

You're the second person in the last few days to have run into this -- maybe they (Google) are changing something?

In any case, please make AquaMail *upload* your Sent:

- Long press the account -> options and folders -> composing and sending
- Enable "Save sent messages"
- Back out and try it

But please check what StR wrote, first :)

How is your account configured in AquaMail?
If you are using IMAP or Exchange Web Services(EWS):

> Please try to' match' the 'Sent' folder from AquaMail with the specific server side 'Sent' folder.

Details how to proceed you will find in the App's FAQ-Site:
http://www.aqua-mail.com/?page_id=227

> search for "How do I access server side folders"
