special account settings notifications are on all accounts
« on: March 28, 2016, 03:40:53 pm »
Hi,
i have in my Motorola Moto G (Android 5.1) 3 Imap Accounts. Let's say, "private", " office" and "emergency'.
On all three accounts i activated the special notifications for this account. Private is silent. Office is blinking. And emergency has a notification " nuke.mp3"

My problem is: everytime i get a mail from someone on my office mail, i get the nuke.mp3 notification and everytime nearly a heart attack  ::)
So it seems the rules for office and private are ignored.

I can't really reproduce it, if i send myself a mail from one account to the other one, everything is fine. It's only on external incoming mails.

Please check that you've NOT configured the app to "use the smart folder for notifications" -- and if so, please turn off.

This is in app settings under "Smart Folder".

Basically, using the smart folder for notifications means the app will post only one status bar notification (for the smart folder), as opposed to separate, per-account, status bar notifications. And then those sounds are "attached" to status bar notifications.
