This morning I woke up to persistent incoming server errors on all 3 email accounts on Aquamail. It could not sync any of the inboxes. I checked Mozilla Thunderbird on my laptop to make sure there weren't any issues with Godaddy's email servers and the same email accounts were all updated with no server issues. I was able to successfully send and receive an email from one to the other.

Anyway, without knowing what else to do I had to resort to uninstalling and reinstalling the Aquamail app. I've currently tried adding one of the email accounts with all of the proper server settings and login credentials but I am now getting incoming mail server and outgoing mail server connection errors. Is there something going on with the app right now??

I use this app regularly throughout the day for my work emails. Someone please help! Thanks.

Wifi? Mobile network?
Have you installed recently another app on your phone?
Have you updated your device recently?
Which device and server are you using?
Wbich error messages do you see?

Hi there!

- It's on Mobile network connection. Internet is fine with web browser and other apps, etc.
- Hmm I haven't installed a new app for a few days. Although, I noticed there some sort of update for some "Android web" system app I believe within the last day.
- My device hasn't had a system update in a while now.
- I'm using the T-Mobile Lg V10. Email servers are with GoDaddy.
- I've attached a screenshot of the error I'm receiving now after trying to add a new email account.

Thanks!

Well.... I connected to my WiFi network and now it connects just fine! I've successfully added 2 email accounts now. What could be the issue while on mobile network? This is very weird and has never happened before.

Well this is very weird. The only thing I can remember that was installed recently was called "Android System WebView" but I'm not sure if this would affect incoming/outgoing email servers...

I'm stumped! I need to be able to check my mail throughout the day as I'm not always around a WiFi network.

Hmm. Well I'm currently updating some apps on my phone including this Android WebView thing. I'll let you know if anything changes after updates here shortly. Thanks!

I'm quite sure that this connection issue is not caused by AquaMail.

Yes, you're correct. It's not caused by Aquamail. Everything is working fine as of now. My phone was updating multiple apps including Android/Google apps which seems to have fixed the issue!

Thanks Paris for your help!

Glad to hear it all went away while I was sleeping.

For the record, the error window (screenshot above) has IPv6 addresses. AquaMail can deal with those just fine, but maybe the mobile provider was having an IPv6 specific routing issue.

And it seems that "in the real world" IPv6 is used more often on mobile networks (compared to home Internet connections, WiFi).
