I've noticed in the last 2 builds that when I open the email client to the Message List, the color chips next to each email,  that either has a picture or letter of the sender's name,  takes a second or two to refresh and load. It happens each time I open the Message List and is a new behavior for the last 2 builds.

Not aware of any changes that would cause this.

What goes on here is the app querying Android's Contacts.

If this was happening on one of my phones, I'd try:

- Turning off contact sync under the phone's main gmail account (in system settings)
- Waiting a few minutes, maybe rebooting the phone
- Turning contact sync back on and waiting a few minutes before checking again

I tried your suggestion of turning off sync rebooting and then turning on sync, but the problem persists. Any other thoughts?

Kostya my friend...I am GLAD to see that someone else is having some problem with Aquamail finish "loading" perfect, because I do have the same problems with this build. First I thought it was my phone but it shouldn't be since I have enough ram and space.
Mine is having problem loading the contact pics, but also sometimes ONLY SHOWS A TOTALLY BLANK SCREEN. This happens mainly like this;
when I open from notification area (new mail) it opens well, but then if I close and try to open again it shows only a blank screen and I have to open-close-empty recents apps several times before it suddenly open ok....
I reversed to the 1.6.0 version and the problem does not exist.
