@mike, no this is something else.
@lindi
Yes, this is specific to Android 6, and quite elusive (I've not seen it on my Nexus 5 or Nexus 6p).
You're already tried clearing app data -- was the app version 1.6.0.10 already at that point?
If not (you were clearing with a version below 1.6.0.10) -- please be sure to update to 1.6.0.10 and clear data and let the app reload the messages.
If you have already done this with 1.6.0.10 -- please no PLEASE capture it in the app's debug log so I can finally get some idea about it.
So to summarize the procedure:
- Please read "Creating a log if something doesn’t work right" here:
http://www.aqua-mail.com/?page_id=232- Check that you've got 1.6.0.10
- Clear the app's data
- Enable app settings -> debug -> debug logging and BOTH "log raw data" and "log database data" and set "output to File"
- Re-add your account
* If restoring accounts and settings from backup, please restore first, then enable logging BEFORE letting the app check mail
- Now have the app check mail (refresh buttons), and hopefully there will be some messages with wrong "no subject"
- If there aren't please keep the log file enabled until some show
Now you're ready to send the log
- Start a new message, Menu -> Diag: attach logs (last item there, shows if logging is enabled), my email is kmansoft / gmail.
And now you can turn debug logging off and delete the file if you wish
Thanks a lot in advance.
This bug is very unpleasant, I'm very interested, but it's also very, very elusive.
Until today I only got reports about Motorola devices (and I'm not seeing it on my Nexus phones with 6.0 - 6.0.1).
