How to view list of "trusted contacts"?
« on: August 11, 2015, 01:08:20 am »
When an email address is marked as a "trusted contact", how do I view the current list of trusted contacts?

From what I can see, I can only clear it, but not view it - is this the case?

Also, recently I was reading an email, and a link was put up saying "Save ..." something - the sun was bright and I couldn't read the whole thing, but clicked on it anyway.  This link was sitting above the message text.  After I clicked it, the link went away, but I have no idea what was saved.  Could it have been an attachment? An image? A contact was made "trusted"? I'm not sure, wish I had been paying closer attention.

Sorry, there is no "view" only "reset"...

Why is that? Security reasons or something else?

Also, any idea what I might have missed seeing in the above? What was "Save...[something]" asking if I wanted to save when I clicked on the message?

"Why is that? Security reasons or something else?"

Something else: short hands and too few fingers.

"any idea what I might have missed seeing in the above"

Um, no idea, sorry. But since your phone didn't explode, it's probably nothing serious.

@Paris

Yes, I *knew* exactly where he pressed, what was on the screen, and what happened next.

Not because AquaMail has some sort of "spying" facility -- it doesn't -- but because of my omnipresence abilities.

But then I had some wine and forgot... Sorry!!!

Well, of course I didn't expect you to read my mind, given my rather vague description of what I saw.

I just wondered if you remember where in the app - when reading a message - it places a "Save [something]" link above the text of the message, where if you click on it, it saves SOMETHING.  The "Save ..." message was in the form of a link or text embedded at the top of the document, not a button or other widget.  Can you recall where you place such active text in messages?  Might've been saving an attachment, or the user to the list of trusted users, or something else; I was just trying to figure out what I missed. :-)

Probably not attachments.

The "save ... as known" is a "panel", between message header and text -- doesn't look like a standard button, but isn't a link either.

And it's really same "panel" as "Show linked images from ... (not known)" -- when you tap that one, the panel's meaning (and label) changes to the next logical step, saving the "..." address as a "known" (although it's entirely your decision).

Ok, it was likely one of those two then.

If you ever get around to being able to view the list of known contacts, and selectively delete them, that would be wunderbar. :-)
