Enable zoom buttons on Lollipop?

Hi,

I looked in the FAQ and couldn't find an answer to this one...

On my old Sony Xperia Mini running Android 4.0.4, in the message view settings there was the option to show "zoom buttons". This raised +/- buttons in the lower right corner to facilitate zooming in and out. I find these easier to use than pinching, and they facilitate one fingered zooming.

However on my new Sony Z3 Compact running Android 5.0.2 I no longer see this option, and instead there only appears to be the option to use pinch zooming ("Browser-like zoom"). I'm pretty sure both phones are running the latest version of AquaMail so it looks to me like an Android-version difference in AquaMail itself?

Is there any way to re-enable the zoom buttons as it is on my older phone? Apologies if I missed something obvious in the settings, but the option certainly isn't where it is on my older phone!

Hi Tich,
Unfortunately this option is gone under new Android Lollipop versions 5.x, ... as far as I know by limitations on system level.

This is still supported by the system on 4.4+, but there are... shall we say, complications. Sorry.

You won't see those buttons in Gmail or K9 either.
