Switching between WiFi and LTE

When I use WiFi connection synchronization works fine (icon is displayed at the top bar) but when I go outside the WiFi area and phone starts using LTE mobile connection then synchronization is off (icon is not displayed at the top bar) and it starts work again when I open Aqua Mail. Why is that? I thought that sync. will be continuing automatically (I don't have set  sync. using WiFi only in the app settings).

Nevermind, I've noticed it works fine, I mean sync is switched automatically after 7-10 sec.

My personal everyday phone has LTE, and I noticed that it takes it about 5 seconds to actually start transmitting data. In a web browser
