IMAP Error with Mobile Data ... With WI-FI all is ok ...
« on: January 27, 2015, 06:05:22 pm »
Hi !

I had Aquamail on my Note 3 ... without problems ...

Now I have installed it on my new Note 4 ... With WIFI all is ok ... With Mobile Data (3G, H+ etc.) on my account when I sync it there is always this error: NO IMAP4 Access Not Allowed .

I don't understand why ... Only on my account @alice.it there is this error ... On my GMail account there aren't problems ...

The synchronization on Note 4 is "ON" and the Mobile Data work perfectly ...

Hope that someone can give me a solution.

Best Regards!

Seen this so many times before...

1 - The message comes from the server.

2 - Google search for "Libero.it IMAP4 Access not allowed":

https://www.google.it/search?q=libero.it+IMAP4+Access+not+allowed

17,400 results

You'll see this error's twin brother too -- his name is "POP3 Access not allowed".

3 - Based on 1 and 2, you need to contact Libero support:

Hi ! Thanks for the answer ... but is not libero.it ... but alice.it ... anyway ...

If it is a server problem ... why with Wi-Fi connection there aren't problems ? But only with Mobile Data ?

It's my understanding that @libero.it and @alice.it are both provided by same mail service.

In any case, the error message is the same, and it comes from the mail server.

As for the cause -- you'd have to ask this mail service's support.
