Multiple delete?

Hi all, is there any way to multiple select messages for deletion? I know you can long press a message which brings up a check box which can then be selected but I don't see any way to select multiple messages this way. I also know you can select everything on the viewing screen but how do you select multiple msgs if they're not sequential??

Just tap once on contact picture in message list for select..
