AquaMail is waking up my phone
« on: March 30, 2014, 12:54:50 am »
I've been using AquaMail for a week or so now, for two separate accounts. All of a sudden, something has changed, and the phone's screen turns on whenever AquaMail is checking email. I can't figure out how to turn this off. Can anyone help me? I had it checking for mail every 10 minutes, but I just changed it to 5 to ensure that was what was turning on the phone.

Galaxy Note 3

My personal everyday device is a Galaxy Note 3 as well (love the screen), I never noticed that.

It sounds like maybe you have some sort of notification enhancement app, and it turns the screen on.

All else failing, you can turn off the "ongoing" status bar icon in Aqua, this is in app settings under Look and Feel. You can ignore the warning under the setting :)
