Counter widget on lockscreen
« on: March 23, 2014, 05:21:57 am »
Hello-- sorry if i missed this, but...I'm a new user , very happy to avoid Convo View on gmail. I'm on Samsung Galaxy S4. All is well.  But...uu

How do i put AquaMail widget (metallic, unread msgs only) on LockScreen?  It only allows for AM messages (several lines). I just want the metallic icon with number of new msgs when i hit the ON button to know if i need to go i to AM.   Pls advise

Thanks

This isn't supported, sorry (due to some layout complexities).

Have you considered DashClock Widget? Aqua has built-in support for it (and you can choose which accounts show there).

Thank you. I'll try it.  Just to say also that AM is a terrific app.

Hi again -- I have downloaded Dashclock and got the AquaMail counter (from the screen to the right), but it only shows the total number of emails in my account, not new (i.e., unread).  And it's the AQ logo, not the little metallic envelope.  How to get JUST the number of new?  (Note:  when I enlarge it on the lockscreen, it says "1854 unread messages", but that's the total not the unread).   Also, is ther a way to enlarge the AquaMail notifier slightly?  It only gets bigger when I drag the box open, but then goes back to teeny.  Thank you.

Ah. This is unread messages, not total number.

First, please consider using web mail to mark your old unread messages as read. This will improve AquaMail's performance when checking mail.

Second, the recent development builds (here on this forum, in their own section) have a setting to show "really new", not "all unread" messages.

The relevant setting is under "Message notifications" and is labeled "Notify about". You'll want to change from "All unread" to "New unread".

A development build can be installed over an earlier version, without having to do a full reinstall.

got it, thank you.  but question:  what is
+ Unread message count badge for recent Samsung devices (stock launcher: TouchWiz).

Is that for widget or something else?  No rush.

Never mind -- I found that the badge is on the app icon on the home screen.  Brilliant, counter works perfectly.  Thank you.
