Argh. It means that some of the already existing data on the device -- loaded there by AquaMail -- got "bad".
So there was either
1) a server change where the new data didn't properly "properly glue to" the old data
or (more likely)
2) a bug in Aqua's calendar sync algorithm, leaving behind some data that was causing the issues.
or yet another possibility
3) a bug in Android's calendar code, maybe the manufacturer's customization (one specific case did come up before, only on a Verizon branded Samsung phone).
We now won't be able to know what it was -- so if it does happen again (hopefully not too soon, perhaps never), I'd like to do more detailed troubleshooting.
