Tom,

Sorry but I can not really understand your problem.

In the account settings it is possible to establish synchronization for any (all) folders.
In addition to that you can decide which of them should use imap push.

Even if you only get notifications for this folders (usually the most used) but also the other folders will be syncronized - depending on your general settings: every 5 - 10 - 15 - 30 - ... minutes .
In other words after at least 5 minutes every new received messages are available within AquaMail. In the account list you will see the number of new messages per folder.

Now what is the issue - what are you missing? Do you really request to get bothered with 100's of notifications during the day...?

I am convinced that 99 % of the users are satisfied with the current features (IMAP,  push,  sync, notifications, ...)  of AquaMail.

If I would like paternalism I would you Apple and iOS  ;)

Still a nice app, but not matching my efforts.

You'll certainly not patronized by Aqua mail or even by Kostya.

It is of course your free choice to use AquaMail or not.

However if you are not satisfied with AquaMail is it up to you to use any other mail app from play store or whatever you want.
Maybe you can find even the best application that can fulfill all your desires ud requirements.

Hi Mike,

I think I explained my efforts and reasons for that here enough. I know I`m not a normal user and of course, the most users may be satisfied with the current features of AquaMail, but that`s not my cup of tea  ;)

Even if you only get notifications for this folders (usually the most used) but also the other folders will be syncronized - depending on your general settings: every 5 - 10 - 15 - 30 - ... minutes .

I know all that, but what is the big advantage of push mail? Yes, that you don`t have to check or synchronize your mail that often!
The biggest reasons of Kostya was the higher battery drain of more push connections, but battery drain would be much higher when synchronizing e.g. 200 folders every 5 minutes instead of keep 40-50 connections for push folders. Push or imap idle doesn`t communicate that often.

Using many push folders allows me to set synchronization up to 30, 60 or 120 minutes for accounts and other folders. Having more push folders does not mean to get more notifications and even if that means I will get 500 notifications a day, that IS my "problem" and no one else will be bothered by that.

I try a little comparison:
I have over 250 TV channels from my cable provider and it`s difficult to remember the channel numbers of my favorite channels I watch more or less often. But there is a col feature: favorite list (like push folders). If that favorite list would be limited to 15 entries it would match for some people, but not for me and the most other people. If there would be a limit of 100, that does not mean you have to put in 100 entries! You can use 10 entries or 20 or 50 or 100 - it`s your own decision. For some people 50 entries would not give them a got overview, but for other it`s great.
If the limit is 15 entries, then just users with up to 15 favorites are satisfied. With a limit of 100 all users with up to 100 favorites are satisfied.

If there is a low limit of 15 favorites I will feel patronized. With a higher limit or unlimited I feel free and all other users fell free, too!

You'll certainly not patronized by Aqua mail or even by Kostya.

It is of course your free choice to use AquaMail or not.
I feel patronized when I could not make the choice I want and yes, if an app has to much limitations for me I will look for another one!

But what is wrong in trying to improve a good app to get it matching my efforts?

Tom:
That sounds reasonable for me.  :D
Maybe Kostya could think about an appropriate option.
