message delete on server - not on smartphone

Hi, need help,
I want to keep (some) emails on my phone after delete on the email-server.
How ca I do this.
Everytime I delete mails on the server they are immediately deleted on my phone.
Pls HELP

There is a per account setting (under options and folders, in extended mode) to sync server deletes.

It's "on" by default for IMAP.

For these messages to be of any practical use, you'll need to either open them on the device so they load completely, or set larger "load when checking mail" (in app settings).
