How do I enable Hypertext-not functional

I'm having no luck getting hypertext to work in most emails.  The email to register for this forum had hyperlinks that worked fine but most others are not functional. When I go to view/ menu item all I see is large font and small font choices; there is no "enable mobile view" option. Please advise.

Same for me except I get the option to Enable Full Screen?

Those items are in the menu when viewing a message, under Menu / View / ...
