Android Samsung Phone not syncing

I have Aquamail on both my Samsung Tablet and Samsung Phone. I have 2 email accounts, one is a Google gmail account and the other is a Sky/Yahoo pop account. I have no problems on my Samsung Tablet, it syncs and checks for emails on both accounts at my prescribed intervals however my Samsung Phone only checks/syncs the Google email, the Sky/Yahoo email is not checked unless I manually refresh the account in the app. I'm sure I have all the settings correct but cannot see why I have this problem on the Samsung phone, it has only been evident in the last few weeks. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Thank you.

Update. Not sure if I'm imagining it but today it seemed to check at the same intervals as my gmail account at the same 5 minute interval setting. When I took the phone off charge it stopped checking. I'm thinking of removing the pop3 account and re-adding it, see if that works.

Do the Aquamail developers ever comment/help in this forum or is there a separate help page?

Developer do comment. I'm one.

MobiSystems support does too.

But just not every day. Personally I check the forum three times a week including on Sundays.

Since this comes up quite a bit - we have pretty detailed section in the FAQ under "app not checking mail", with Samsung specific info and screenshots even, have you seen it?
