Is it possible to search for mail in all folders of Gmail?
Is it possible to specify advanced search parameters such as mail from x containing attachment and not containing word y?

Perhaps it could be a solution for you to activate the folder (Gmail: label) "All Mail" in AquaMail and enable the setting 'Sync as incoming":
Long press on Account name (your Gmail account) > Options and folders > folders > search and tap on respective folder "All Mail" > choose option "Sync as incoming" > I recommend: now tap on the setting wheel on the right edge > disable "Show in Smart Folder"
Navigate to the folder "All Mail" and you should be able to search within all messages ...
