Hotmail notifications not working

Hi, I just bought Aqua-mail pro for my galaxy note 4. I have setup hotmail to retrieve mails in 30 minute intervals. but i am not getting notifications unless I click on refresh manually. please let me know how to get this right. Thanks.

Thank you for the suggestion. I waited 2 hours,  didn't receive automatic notification. I have to manually refresh to retrieve messages. Any other ideas? Another question, is there a support email address to this app developer to ask for help?

Do you use any "battery saving" apps that may be terminating other apps?

One I have in mind specifically is called Clean Master.

It puts apps it thinks is "garbage" into "frozen" state, until you restart them yourself.

Would be good to check -- AquaMail settings -> Mail receiving -> make sure "Scheduled sync" is ON

Also per-account override (if there) -- long press the account -> Special settings -> Turn off "Special sync settings for this account" if it's enabled.

I just want to provide an update on this issue.  my hotmail is receiving automatically retrieving emails.  Previously I did not have aqua mail receiving setting turned on. I was always checking hotmail account specific settings. I want to thank the developer for his prompt response to my questions. I have to say that I am a very Happy user of aqua mail now
