Chromebook AquaMail loses mouse and touch pad

Chromebook v 148.0.7778.250

Aquamail v 1.59.0.627

Works fine for a few days and then loses contact - whilst both work fine on the area outside the app when in reduced size mode.

Clues/solutions please.
