Was there a data breach?
« on: October 14, 2025, 07:52:54 pm »
I had what appears to be every email address saved in aqua mail found in a "non-Google data breach".  I'm trying to figure out, "what would ONLY have my password for my email accounts"?  AquaMail is the only application I use on any platform that accesses all of my emails.

Are the passwords for my email accounts stored anywhere besides on my Android phone?  That is the only place I'm using AquaMail.

Hello tameion,

Please rest assured that Aqua Mail does not share, upload, or store any of your account data, including passwords, on our servers. Everything, your email credentials, settings, and messages, is stored only locally on your device and managed securely by the Android operating system.

If a data breach report includes your email addresses, it means those addresses were found in a public database leak from another source, not from Aqua Mail. We recommend changing your email passwords and enabling two-factor authentication for extra security, but you can be fully confident that Aqua Mail itself does not send or store your credentials anywhere outside your phone.

All righty.  Thanks Martin.
