Number of conversations in message list

How do i put the number of conversations back to the right as it was in the old lay-out?  Or make it an option to choose where to put it : at left (new lay out) or under the time at right (old lay out)

I second your suggestion.

In addition to that please make the color of the counter (in message list) customizable. The current "dark green" is not particularly pretty.
At least the counter's background color should get the same color as the Action bar and the FAB.

The backround color of conversation counter is already customizable:
Settings -> Conversation -> Color
You can also customize the text, and make it bold or not.
