Backup and Transfer Settings to Chromebook from OnePlus1
« on: February 21, 2016, 03:45:34 pm »
Subject says it all as there some issues:

-OnePlus1 had no SD Card to backup to
-need to transfer file over (which I assume could be done via dropbox or email etc.)

Is this possible? If not I guess I'll just manually set it all up on the Chromebook then save the file. If I do this can I transfer it when I get a new phone.

Thank you! I love aquamail more than my first born (I don't have any kids but I think you get the point!) :)

The "Backup and restore" feature is mentioned in the FAQ, just search the page for "backup".

Do you have access to the file on the Chrome OS device?

The one called AquaMail.accounts.backup?

If so, just copy it using (anything really) to the phone, it should be inside "storage root" -> "backup" -> "AquaMail"

where "storage root" corresponds to the phone's large built-in memory partition, the directory where file manager apps open into at startup (most of them I suppose), the one that starts with "Android", "Alarms", "DCIM"...

Once that's done, AquaMail on the phone should be able to find the file in its Backup and Restore window.

You are saying so because you don't have any kids. ... Or, maybe, you don't have any kids because you are saying so. :P
