Login to POP3 before SMTP or turn off SMTP Authentication

Is there any way to either turn off SMTP authentication or set Aqua Mail to log in to the POP3 server before sending outgoing mail?

I can't find any info on this for Aqua Mail and it's hard to believe there aren't others who want/need these settings.

Um, nope, this scenario is not supported, and seems to be very very rare (you're the first user to inquire about it), something out of the nineties maybe
