I'm using a POP3 setup with my mail account.
When sending an email AquaMail correctly sends it out.
But it is not saved to the Sent folder, although I have checked the corresponding setting: Save sent messages in the sent-folder.
This does not happen with IMAP accounts!
What could be the problem here?
Thanks for helping!

Hello jap,
This is expected behavior with POP3 accounts. POP3 is designed mainly for downloading messages from the server, not for syncing changes or folders between the app and the mail server. That’s why sent messages are not automatically stored in the Sent folder on the server.
With IMAP, messages and folders stay synchronized between the app and the server, so everything, including Sent mail, remains consistent across devices.
If you want your sent messages to appear in the Sent folder on the server, we recommend switching your account from POP3 to IMAP. This will allow full folder synchronization and prevent issues like this in the future.

Thanks. I know the differences between the two.
It is usually not the case, that POP3 clients do not locally save their sent messages. Actually it seems a quite stupid software behaviour if you can't review what you sent out, isn't it?
I think I remember, that this was not the typical behaviour of AquaMail some time ago. I've been using it for many years and always mainly with POP3. I would have noticed earlier.
Any other explanation for the issue? Am I missing some setting?
