I have one Gmail and two Virgin Media accounts in AM which have synced as expected until today.
The Gmail issue is exactly the same on my android 15 Google Pixel 6 & android 10 Samsung Galaxy Tab S4
Both ntlworld accounts sync in a jiffy, but if I go to the Gmail account and re-sync, it attempts to check for a very long time. Not sure if this is a Google server issue or not, but if I use the Gmail app, there is no problem syncing quickly, sending or receiving. It took many attempts and a long wait to send a Gmail to Gmail email within AM itself. No problem doing the same on the Gmail app though.
Anyone else seen this behaviour today?

🤔🤨 typical !!!
As soon as I'd posted this, I checked again and everything appeared to be back to normal - the Gmail account syncing immediately again 😕 Presumably it was Google's end?

Hello Boothy,
I'm happy to hear the good news. ;)
Most likely from the mail server side.

Thanks Martin. Yes, it certainly seems to have been their end for a while. Everything working perfectly again 😊
Cheers 👌

I've been having this issue for the past two days now, all accounts sync fine except for my Gmail account. I takes a long time to sync, it often fails to sync, and my phone sometimes triggers up a warning that AquaMail is draining my battery (it's not literally draining my battery, but it's always trying to sync in the backgeound).
Tried updating AquaMail, tried re-adding` my gmail account, tried playing with gmail/Android settings, no go so far...
Hopefully it is on Google's end,.

Hi Twill,
Not sure if you're still having issues, but Gmail synced in 0.28 seconds for me, just.

At this moment I do not seem to be having issues, takes 4 seconds to sync (or appears to) but that is fine by me....
Much of yesterday and last night in particular it was bad, often timing out and leaving me with an exclamation mark. I remain a bit curious, as I haven't seen many people (here and elsewhere) reporting issues with Gmail's imap servers.
