I have AM installed on two Android devices, one a Samsung 5G phone, the other a Samsung Galaxy tablet. Both have the same Proton VPN and Bitdefender Total Security. The tablet works perfectly with AM but the phone is suffering some sort of breakdown. On a regular basis two Gmail and one Mailfence accounts refuse to connect to their respective servers and I get the red cannot connect to server strip on all three accounts.
The current solution is to uninstall and reinstall and restore from a regular backup. This not a long-term solution and I was hoping someone could throw some light on what is going on.
When AM refuses to connect, Nine and Bluemail connect without any problems.
Both devices are running the latest Android versions and it occurs on Wi Fi and OTA.
TIA

This is happening two or thee times a week. Time to find another email client. Sad after many years.

Hello Kevin,
We suspect that certain system settings or programs may be causing this issue. Since Aqua Mail is working flawlessly on your tablet, it's safe to assume that the issue is originating from the phone.
Please contact us at support@aqua-mail.com so we can look at your case.

Thank you, Martin. It has also cropped up on the tablet. I have turned off Proton VPN and white flagged the app on my anti-virus. Sometimes it just affects Mailfence, other times it is Mailfence and two Gmail accounts. I have the app running in the background and drop in to check on it and today it is working perfectly. Bloody typical :-) I will report the issue to tech support. Is there a way to tap into logs so I can feed that through?

Hello Kevin,
Here are the instructions.
Also, make sure you produce the said error/issue after you start the log file. Run it for a few minutes.
Here's how to start logging in to the app:
Open Aqua Mail > Settings > Debug
Enable "Debug logging"
If you have used logging before, please reset the log file (the option will display the current size or be greyed out)
Recreate the issue
You should disable logging after that by going back to Settings > Debug. The file is located in your phone's internal storage - the default directory or the Downloads folder.

As a long time user, I really could not bear to be without AM, so looked at all various options. The issue was with my phone and not my tablet. In the end I took the nuclear option, probably not the best phrase considering the state the world is in, and did a complete factory reset. This seems to have resolved the issue. Phew!
