Title: Starred First Doesn't Work in Main Message List

Steps to Reproduce:

Open Inbox
Search for a message and tap on its star.
Exit search
Tap 'Starred First'.  Nothing happens.  Then pull down to refresh messages, nothing happens.
Note: I did set 'Starred First' as the default, but it still only works within search results, not for the main inbox.

Configuration:
Google Pixel 6a
Android 14
