Hi, Verizon is changing its incoming and outgoing server addresses. Is there a way to modify these settings on an existing account? I didn't see them under the Settings options, Basic or Extended. Can I modify an existing account or do I have to start a new account entirely?
Thanks,
Joel

On your existing account, right click, and go to "Account Setup". Then choose "Manual".

Sorry to be thick, what does "right click" mean on an android phone??
Best,

Right click? Hmmm, think that means you must use your right index finger only... :)
Joking aside, press and hold the account on the main screen (make sure it's not syncing) then go into "Account Setup" then press the "Manual" button on the Bottom.
You should be good to change your server addresses there.

OK, got it. Why isn't the server info selectable from the settings button at the bottom? That's where I was looking for it...
All's well that ends well! Works fine.

Hi,
This is a per-account setting, so it needs some context, long press.
I see new settings here:
https://www22.verizon.com/Support/Residential/Internet/fiosinternet/email/setup+and+use/questionsone/124289.htm
Before you begin:
You'll need the following email settings:
Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.verizon.net
Incoming Server Port Numbers: 995
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.verizon.net
Outgoing Server Port Numbers: 465 Why is this important?
Make sure SSL encryption is enabled for the incoming and outgoing mail server.
For more email and remote access configuration options see Verizon Online Email Settings
These are much more logical, most other provider use these prefixes ("pop." and "smtp."). The old "incoming." and "outgoing." were an abomination.
Going to update the app's automatic setup preset.
