Title: How do I speed up searches

Right now it takes forever to load search results. What can I do to speed up the searching?

I've compacted the database, only have it set to load 25 messages and I'm only searching headers. Any advice?

The best way is to make a debug log with "raw session data" enabled and capturing your searching and waiting long enough to get the results:

For me a server side search in a Gmail folder with > 50,000 messages takes about 5 seconds (about 3000 matching messages).
