Title: How do I always show my reply in the message thread?

Aqua mail is probably one of the best mail applications for Android... But one thing that's been bugging me is when I send a message it only appears in my sent folder if I look at the messages from my inbox it's not there. Is there a way to do it?

Other email applications for Android have this nice conversation view where my reply is always last if I made one

Yeah when I worked on threaded conversations a few years back - I intentionally did not want to do them exactly same as in Gmail or say Type Mail - because there already is Gmail, and Type Mail, and Outlook....

There were other reasons too.

So the overall "look and feel" is different.

But - to show replies please enable app settings -> conversations -> across folders.

So that is what I thought should be checked, but if I reply to an email my reply is not first in the chain. It will still show the last message from the other party.

You should try the option in -> Settings -> Conversations -> scroll down to the section 'Customize' -> toggle the item 'Reverse when expanded'

That's sitting didn't seem to help either. My reply is not the last message either on the expanded message list, or when composing the message / viewing the message.

I always have to go back to my sent folder to see my last reply... It's super annoying, when all the other mail clients out there do it.

Are you sure you have activated the conversation view?

To do so please go to app Settings -> Conversations ->

(1) enable 'Conversation combining'
(2) enable 'Across folders'
(3) optionally: enable/disable 'Reverse when expanded'

Then it should work...
