I have updated my tablet (Galaxy Tab S3) to Android 8. Now the number of unread mails does no longer appear on the homescreen icon.
Please fix this.
Lis
or does anybody know a solution?

Hi,
for me it is the same problem. The number of unread mails does no longer appear on the AquaMail icon on my Galaxy S9+.
It doesn't matter if Smartwatch enhancement option is activated or not. I changed no other options.
This is since one of the last beta updates. I'm using 1.16.0-1167.
Excuse my bad english...

What can we do - Samsung completely removed how this worked from "their" Android 4.0 to 7.0.
It was always undocumented and intended only for Samsung's own apps - but it worked.
Now it's completely different. We *try* - but it's now the responsibility of Samsung's software to display the count, which it gets from our notifications.
Please try the latest - just released - beta version 1173.
And / or you could contact Samsung and ask to put the feature back how it was - and document it for app developers.

The new beta build doesn't work, too. :-/

This happed to my Samsung S7 when I updated OS to Oreo. Not sure I agree with this being a Samsung issue as the email app connected to MS Exchange shows the number of unread messages.
