Title: Unread Messages in Folders
Post by: phred on April 06, 2018, 01:22:09 am
Using 1.15.0-872-dev and looking for advice. My employer had me set up with Outlook 365 and had no problems with it and AM. This week I was switched over to Outlook 2016 and I was finally able to set up folders and filters for various senders. All of which show up in AM.

When on the Account List view I see the number of new messages. If I tap the account it opens to the Inbox and there is no indication of any new messages because they've been filtered to a folder. I have to tap each folder to find the new ones. If instead of tapping the account, I tap the down arrow to the left of the account, I see the new message(s) count next to the respective folder. I don't use folders on any of the other accounts I have set up so there's a habit of just tapping the account.

Is there any way to tap the account and have it open to the folders and show the new message count?

EDIT: Or always have the folder list expanded for just this one account?

Thanks.

Well the app does expand accounts with unread messages - with default settings.

You must have turned that off. Please check app settings -> account list -> "expand accounts..."

Also since you mentioned how you have to tap "the little arrow" to expand / collapse an account - you may want to turn off "tap to open inbox" on the same screen.

Perfect! Thanks Kostya.
